You read it right – one ingredient caramel. It get’s even better – it takes only five minutes of your attention.
Who wants to deal with cooking sugar to the perfect temperature for caramel? Or worse, occasionally missing that window and dealing with a pot of burnt sugar to clean? Not me! That’s why I love this recipe. It’s so incredibly easy, and the outcome is amazing.
All you need is one pot, one can of sweetened condensed milk, and some water.
The caramel in the can is thick and so good! Who needs dip-ables when you could just eat it with a spoon straight from the pan? Try the optional ingredients out for an even better outcome. Depending what you use it for, you can thin it down with heavy cream or milk, add vanilla for flavor, and/or add butter for richness. Simply heat it all up in a pan and whisk together!
This recipe can even be used for caramel apples! But we couldn’t wait for the caramel to set on the apples, so we just dipped ours! It was the perfect Saturday treat!
You’re just one can of sweetened condensed milk and four hours away from a bowl of heaven.
